Reducing vibrations is one thing, but this area will be treated with 30mm of closed cell foam to absorb the sound. The factory 10mm of wadding on the back of the carpet trim is unlikely to be enough to minimise reverberation and general noise in this area. It's not essential to have 100% coverage on the wheel arch, as there's less tinniness by default. Note I've made small cutouts for to ensure the yellow grommets are available when it comes to re-instating those side trays.
