What you see here is a conversion of the Hasbro "Rebel Trooper Blaster" into the "hero" version of the DH-17 blaster carbine. I refer to it as the "hero" version for lack of a better name. I made all of the greeblies myself and they are 3D printed. The blaster is painted in different shades of metallic paint to make it look like it's made of different types of metal-- for example, the gold on the blaster scope is a darker gold than on the power pipes, the disc greeblie above the trigger is a brighter silver than the silver on the body, and the "screws" are copper). The blaster body is a satin black while the scope is flat black to give the appearance that the blaster body is metal while the scope is plastic, the ring behind the silver barrel fins is also flat black just for accent. I painted the dart plunger to look like a power cell so when the plunger is pulled back it looks like you might be replacing or repairing the cell. The dot sight is a 3 3/4" red lightsaber blade. The light still works and it can still fire darts. I had been wanting to do this conversion for a while and was excited to finally do it, and I'm very pleased with the results! As you can see I made two, one for me and one for a friend. The blaster was finished on December 21, 2020.
