Hiraeth is home to a vast array of species, with Humans, Elves, and Orcs being the most prominent. Recently, a brutal war between Humans and Elves came to an uneasy end, resulting in a fragile peace treaty that divided their territories. Though tensions still linger, both factions now strive to coexist, rebuilding their lands and reforging alliances.
However, as one conflict fades, another rises. A growing threat looms in the south—an unstoppable wave of Orc warbands and human rebellion. These factions, ruthless and unchecked, terrorize the roads, ambushing caravans and merchants. At times, they even dare to lay siege to cities, seeking to carve out dominion of their own.
The Orcs and Bandits hold dominion over the lawless southern lands, but among them, one leader stands above the rest—Lian, the Bandit Queen. Ruling from the heart of the desert, she commands a vast network of raiders, outposts, and hidden encampments scattered across the arid wastelands. The desert itself is a treacherous expanse of scorching dunes and barren landscapes, where even the most seasoned adventurer would struggle to survive alone. Yet, within its sun-scorched expanse, Lian has established a network of oasis settlements, where her followers live and thrive under her rule.
Bearing the title "Queen of the South" and to some, "Queen of the Desert" Lian has made the rise of a formidable army. With ruthless efficiency, she has already seized control of Vilthorash, the gateway city to the desert. Now, using it as a stronghold, her forces move freely between the wastes and the heart of the kingdom, With the ability to launch swift and devastating raids.
