Here's another one I picked out as a little boy that my mom rented for me. Absolutely loved it of course. What 80's boy wouldn't? What an adventure!
Super hard to find title, like the majority of these 1985 titles are. It was amazing I got this near mint copy so cheap. It took me years to update my old copy of which I payed far more for. This one still has a light scratch on the back, but it will likely take finding a sealed copy, if one still remains out there (I'm often surprised!) to best this ones quality and even if there is one, I'm not sure I'd bother too much upgrading it from this copy, unless the price is too good to be true like this copy was. This copy will do, for sure. Best I've ever seen of it, after years of watching. It's off my upgrade list. Very happy to have it.
Old copy will sell for a loss, due to low interest. It was nearly as good to me as a kid, as the Goonies, but it was nowhere near as popular, so fewer of us gen x will have a nostalgic tie with it. A decent copies true value, I believe is at least (as of '24) worth $50 (I've only ever seen one decent copy, it was my old one) and one like this, little did the seller know, had he tried listing it for three digits for a week first, I would have bought it within a few hours, since I know how rare a clean copy of this is. The odds are 99.9% that the viewer of this photo is seeing the best copy they have or ever will see of this CED.... I'm sure of it. Beat up copies are very few and far between (like "weird science" and "just one of the guys" for a couple examples).
