I borrowed this one (not 100% positive it was 2, but it was one of them. This was easiest to collect, since I don't care) from a buddy at school. He loved the series, as lots of kids did then. I didn't like it at all. I didn't like the overly cute style of your man, the poor controls, the way he jumped was very poor compared to Mario, or the hardcore platforming (although I played through and beat Ninja Gaiden). It just wasn't for me. I didn't understand why anyone like these games at all. I think I gave it a try for an hour or so, but I wasn't feeling it whatsoever. I've since checked them out on emulators and I still feel the exact same way. I still don't understand how these became popular hits. Hey, some kids didn't like other popular ones either for whatever reason, these were the ones I couldn't get into.
