Before the guy from whom I bought my copy of Sonic Heroes, the former owner of my copy used to be Blockbuster, specifically a rental copy with a Blockbuster label, so it was on the hands of various players and that explains all the scratches on the disc (still works fine, though). The previous owner had left the label because he was afraid that removing it would bust the disc. Personally, I'm leaving it as a memento of a bygone era.
Here in Mexico, Blockbuster and its gaming brand known as Game Rush survived all the way until March 2016. They stopped having GC rentals around mid-2007 and did manage to have rentals for Wii U, 3DS, PS4 and Xbox One.
There was a store near my house that had a rather decent and not too expensive selection of second-hand games back in 2009-2012.
That's from where I got a lot of my DS games and a few Gamecube and Wii ones. In 2014, that store was from where I got my Smash Mario and Smash Kirby amiibo figures.
