Some sanding and it's finished!
The wheel can be removed from the plan to install the last course.
The 3rd course goes on the top, but in the opposite direction as the 1st course.
The next course of spokes goes on the same way, but to the other end of the axle.
Apply CA glue to both ends of the spoke with a toothpick. The 1st course should look like tis.
The 1st course of spokes installed.
Use CA glue applied with a toothpick to both ends of the spoke.
Insert a spoke in every 4th hole so the end of the spokes are all in the same direction on the axle.
Ready for the spokes.
Marking and cutting the spokes from .019" wire. Be sure to sand the wire bright with emory cloth.
Measuring for the length of the spoke. 13.5 mm.
Tack down the wheel to the plan again.
1/16" O. D. axle held in place with a pin.
Drill holes with an 1/32" bit.
Glue 3 layers.
Cut the outsides.
Cut out the centers.
Making the wheels from 1/16" balsa. 3 pieces for each wheel.
