Geography & Climate:
A island continent isolated from the western central landmass, Aethelgard is shrouded in vast deciduous forests that stretch from its southern coasts to the taiga-clad northern reaches.
Rolling hills give way to jagged mountain ranges, with deep river valleys carving through the landscape like ancient scars. The winters are harsh, especially in the north, where snow blankets the land for half the year, while the southern regions experience milder, wetter seasons.
The continent is surrounded by turbulent seas, making naval travel treacherous—only the most skilled sailors dare to cross the straits to the western mainland, where distant empires loom like silent giants.
—Inhabitants:
The land’s people are divided primarily between two races:
- Dail (Humans):The dominant population, spread across all regions, from the war-hardened clans of Velisgard to the merchant lords of Zeyran.
- Lothian (Dark Elves): A reclusive and ancient people, concentrated in the south-western and western forests and mountain holds. Their society is matriarchal, steeped in ritual, and wary of outsiders.
