The speedometer was full of cobwebs and one large, very well desiccated spider when I got it. Luckily being a pretty standard 3.5" Smiths motorcycle speedo it's easy enough to get into, the bezel simply rotates then can be pulled off.
I didn't go overboard as a bit of patina seems appropriate given it's 43 years old!
