The aperture for the hot air to the screen was distorted so I re-inforced it with some plastic sheet to restore its shape.
I also watered some PVA down and coated the cardboard to return some rigidity...Just like new !!
It's worth checking that the two layers haven't parted on the leading edge otherwise your screen demist won't work too well.
