I paid $268.29 in total, shipping included for it Dec. 2022. Sealed. It appears to be an original seal.
The seller was located in central Indiana. So this copy, didn't appear to ever go far from where it was created. When I asked the seller, how this came to be in his possession, he stated it was his late fathers. I then asked him if his dad had worked for RCA and he had no memory of him working there, however he stated he probably knew someone who did..Perhaps he had a friend who worked there then, and they gave him this copy. Why would a worker give it away and never open it? I'm not sure, but I suppose if a couple both worked there and received a copy of this, why would they need to keep and open two, right? Perhaps this is how this sealed copy came to be. If the sellers dad didn't even have a player, then he would have simply kept the gift from a friend sealed, right?.Here is a stunning, well preserved sealed copy of #62786 which stands for the date 6/27/86 - June 27, 1986 making these as the very last pressed CED's by RCA. These were given to RCA employees only, thanking them for the years working for them.I am honored to be this copies current steward..- Information credit: Tom Howe of CEDmagic.
