Rheology modifiers also known as viscosity thickeners or viscosity modifiers for paints which are basically added to the liquids during the manufacture of the paint and coating products to provide rheological properties for the particular applications. They work much more than to just thicken a formulation in the product such as preventing sedimentation during transport and storage and also allows product to flow when they need to be poured during application.
