Each year, the Margaret Louise Burckes Scholarship is given to a Husson University student, in good academic standing, who demonstrates a commitment to service and occupational therapy as a profession. Financial need is also taken into consideration. Hailey Hyer of Pomeroy, Washington, (right) a fifth-year student pursuing her Master of Science in Occupational Therapy at Husson, is this year’s recipient. Celebrating with Ms. Hyer on the receipt of the prestigious honor were Laurie Mouradian, ScD, ATR, OTR/L, chair of the School of Occupational Therapy at Husson University (left) and Margaret Louise Burckes, occupational therapist and philanthropist (center).
