Having gained access to the transmission I can now look at adjusting the belt tension (it's really loose at present). However there are three nuts I need to loosen down at the front of the chaincase, which currently I can't even see for grime. Time to get cleaning. The actual adjuster itself has just been given a liberal dose of Plusgas here as goodness knows how many years it's been since it was last moved.
