Finally - after resorting to an excessive amount of brute force and ignorance trying to remove the ONE stubborn screw that had fused to its clip (yes, those silly little spring clips normally used to hold trim and things in place - the ones that always fall off) I've managed to get the access panel off to let me get at the transmission. First up will be a thorough external clean, then get the belt tension adjusted.

Finally - after resorting to an excessive amount of brute force and ignorance trying to remove the ONE stubborn screw that had fused to its clip (yes, those silly little spring clips normally used to hold trim and things in place - the ones that always fall off) I've managed to get the access panel off to let me get at the transmission.

First up will be a thorough external clean, then get the belt tension adjusted.
