Looking lovely after a couple of coats of dope. How many coats is dependent on the intended use. I'm building it for display, so weight is of no concern. I'll keep applying coats until a fresh coat no longer makes the tissue sag. Eventually, after many coats, the dope leaves hydrophobic blush on the surface after it dries. When that happens, it can easily be removed by wiping it off with Isopropyl alcohol. This should also be done after doping and before any painting. I applied 4 coats at 20-1 and then switched to 3-1 for an additional 7 coats. Total time doping, not including drying time was 3:10. Definitely the most boring part of building these things.
