The game that made me get a Nintendo Switch, and the wait made me regret it to a certain extent. That was until I played Metroid Dread and Kirby and the Forgotten Land in 2022, 3 years after I got my Switch.
But, 8 years of waiting were finally over for me on December 23rd, 2025.
Just to be clear. No, I still don't have a Switch 2 yet. However, I decided to get the Switch 2 Edition because the card is perfectly playable on the Switch 1, only without the enhancements, and for having said enhancements on the cart. I'm someone who gets physical versions whenever possible for digital storage reasons.
It was only slightly more expensive than the Switch 1 version.
Provided I can find the Switch 2 Editions for good prices, I plan to get those in lieu of the Switch 1 versions for Switch 1 games I don't have such as Super Mario Bros. Wonder, Animal Crossing: New Horizons or Xenoblade X.
